free, impartial tech support

I give free tech support and advice to anyone who needs or wants it. I do this because I am passionate about making technology accessible for everyone. I am not affiliated with any company and make no profit.

1

Contact me with your technology problem or request. Things I can help with are listed below, but if you're unsure ask anyway!

2

I will give help and advice either over the phone, messages, or email. In some cases I can even visit you in your home (this only applies to Altrincham, Northwich and surrounding areas).

3

If you're happy with my service, I would like it if you made a donation to a charity of your choosing on my behalf. This is completely optional!

I can help point you in the right direction if your internet is broken or slow, or answer questions you may have about using the internet.

Let me know if you want help setting up, using, or learning about your tech.

Not sure if an email is spam? Want to check if a website is legitimate? Not sure if your accounts are secure? I can help you stay safe online.

I am happy to give advice if you're unsure what tech to buy. I am not affiliated with any company and have nothing to gain from recommending one product over another. My goal is to help you get what's right for you for the best price.

If there's anything not listed above that you want help with, then ask anyway and I'll see what I can do. I'm always happy to help!

My main aim is to help people less confident with technology, however I am happy to help anybody who requests it.

I believe that one does good most efficiently by using their existing skills on a voluntary basis - like pro-bono legal work. I'm not a lawyer, but I have been working with computers for years, so it feels like the best way for me to help others.

If you're happy with any help I've provided, I kindly ask that you make a donation to charity on my behalf. This is completely optional and in no way expected. I appreciate that not everybody is in a position to give money, and you may wish to help others in your own way instead. My preferred charity is MS Society, but give to a charity of your choosing if you prefer!

Good question! I studied computer science at Oxford University, and have 2 years & counting working in IT. And I'm very happy to share my knowledge!
